Key Stage 3 Assessments: Knowledge, Skills & Application
Key Stage 3 students will soon be starting their termly assessments in lesson time. The assessments are focused on Knowledge, Skills & Application of each subject – except for Core PE, Transform & Life Studies.
These will occur over two weeks, either side of the half term. The assessments are like others they have completed before with an added benefit of unified formatting and marks. This will also create familiarity with assessments as they progress into Key Stage 4 and help to influence a more detailed form of reporting home.
Students will not need to partake in any extra preparation for this outside of homework set by their class teachers. Years 7, 8 and 9 will complete these twice a year on a rotation.
Autumn Term (weeks beginning 14th October & 4th November): 8 & 9
Spring Term (weeks beginning 10th February & 24th February): 7 & 9
Summer Term (weeks beginning 19th May & 2nd June): 7 & 8
