We’re thrilled to share recent sporting successes from two of our students, both achieving impressive milestones.

One of our Year 9 athletes, Toby B, has been training daily in discus and recently threw an outstanding distance of over 37 metres, securing 2nd place overall and achieving the national standard for his age group. This has earned him a place on the Hampshire Schools team competing at the Inter-Counties Cup in Crawley. Currently ranked 12th in England for Under 15 Boys’ Discus, his performance this weekend could lead to selection for the English Schools’ Championships.

His brother Samual B, Year 7, competed for WADAC in the Wessex League, helping Winchester to an overall win. He recorded:

Long Jump: 4.13m
200m: 30.50s
Relay: 3rd leg, overtaking three runners
He is now heading to Stuttgart with his Swim Club to compete in the International Youth Cup, having qualified based on his county times in the Individual Medley. This prestigious event includes teams from across the world, including Australia and the USA.

Congratulations to both students – we’re incredibly proud of your dedication and success.
