Our Transform Programme

Transform is a bespoke curriculum designed to develop the ‘Power’ skills of young people at Perins, equipping them with the essential abilities needed for success in education and beyond. This innovative curriculum is built upon the foundation of the six ‘Personal, Learning, and Thinking Skills (PLTs)’, which serve as key pillars in fostering independent learning, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Through project-based lessons, students actively engage in their own learning, working together in teams and taking on leadership roles to develop and refine these essential skills. This hands-on, inquiry-driven approach ensures that students not only understand theoretical concepts but also apply their knowledge in practical, real-world contexts.

At Key Stage 3, the Transform curriculum provides a structured yet flexible framework that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and creative thinking. By embedding these skills early on, students build a strong foundation that prepares them for the increasing academic and personal demands of Key Stage 4 and beyond. The curriculum is designed to be adaptive and progressive, ensuring that students continuously grow in confidence, resilience, and self-motivation—qualities that will support them in further education, employment, and lifelong learning.
