We were delighted to host a truly inspiring evening last week as we celebrated the achievements of our students at the Position of Responsibility (POR) Tie Giving Awards Night.

This special event recognised the dedication, leadership, and positive contributions of students who have taken on key roles across the school community. From prefects and peer mentors to student ambassadors and house leaders, each student honoured has shown a remarkable commitment to supporting others and helping Perins thrive.

Ms S, Head of Year 10, shared her reflections on the evening:

“I’m incredibly proud of our students after a truly inspiring prefects evening. It was a privilege to see them start to embrace their leadership skills and show such dedication and maturity throughout this process. They are excellent role models for our younger students and their peers, and I couldn’t be more honoured to support and celebrate their achievements. I look forward to seeing them grow in confidence and thrive over the coming year. Congratulations to all!”

The evening also marked the beginning of a new Perins tradition, as the Golden Baton was passed to our Head Students—a symbolic gesture representing the responsibility of leading their team and inspiring younger students to aspire to leadership roles in the future.

Mr M. Nevola, Head of School, added:

“It was tremendous to see our Year 10 cohort stepping up to receive their Posts of Responsibility last night. The emotions from the proud parents in the audience were evident as they celebrated their child’s achievement. A new Perins tradition was also established with a Golden Baton being passed to the Head Students to take on the mantle of leading their team in inspiring younger year groups to aspire to become leaders and have designs to become a Perins POR holder in the future.”

We are incredibly proud of every student who received their POR tie. Their leadership, maturity, and commitment are a credit to themselves, their families, and the wider Perins community.
