At Perins, we believe every student deserves the best opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. The funding of schools in real terms has been diminishing over recent years, with schools having to cut provision to the bone. This can often leave a school falling short of providing those enriching experiences and resources that make school life truly inspiring and memorable.

That’s where our amazing school community comes in.

Through fundraising, we support a wide range of initiatives—from upgrading classroom technology and improving facilities, to funding extracurricular activities, school trips, and wellbeing projects. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in the lives of our students.

In the past, we successfully fundraised for repainting and marking our netball courts, our wellbeing garden and supporting our legendary school productions and South Africa sports tours. This year, our efforts included a new outside covered seating area for our students. This has been a long-standing need for our students, providing them with a sheltered area to enjoy throughout the year, as well as an outdoor learning environment.

This incredible project has been made possible thanks to generous contributions from our new catering partners, Caterlink, donations from the Friends of Perins, parents, a legacy sum of money from a former student and a significant charitable donation.

Our students have also played a fantastic role in supporting this project through sponsored events, bake sales, non-uniform days, sports challenges, and creative fundraising ideas. Their enthusiasm and commitment to improving their school environment have been inspiring. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative so far!

While construction of the covered space has now been completed, we still need to raise funds to enhance the space further with outdoor seating/ benches, and lighting. To complete this project, we are aiming to raise £10,000.  To help us in our efforts we have registered with The Good Hub, a platform that enables us to actively receive donations as well as support fundraising opportunities, you can view our page here.

You can also share this page within your own communities to help spread awareness of our campaign, there will also be further opportunities for students to get involved in our efforts, so watch this space!

Thank you for your continued support. Every contribution will count, each donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to enhancing this new space and making it a valued part of daily school life.

Yours Sincerely
