On Tuesday 1st July, the Food Technology Department proudly took part in an exciting Guinness World Record attempt led by Jamie Oliver and his team of top chefs.

As part of a nationwide effort to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest cookery lesson (multiple venues), our students joined a live, virtual cook-along alongside over 10,000 participants worldwide.

During the session, students prepared a fresh homemade pasta dish with a no-cook tomato sauce, all guided by Jamie Oliver himself as part of his 10 Skills programme. The event aimed to promote essential cooking skills, healthy eating, and a love for food in a fun, memorable way.

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to get hands-on in the kitchen while being part of a global culinary moment. Well done to everyone involved!
