Changes to the School Transport Enquiry Process

We would like to make you aware of an important update from the Hampshire County Council School Transport Service, which will affect how parents and carers make enquiries from Monday, 26th May 2025.
Following the successful introduction of an online enquiry form in Summer 2024, the School Transport team will now be moving to an online-only process for all general enquiries.
What This Means:
From 26th May, all non-emergency transport enquiries must be submitted using the online form available on the School Transport section of the Hampshire County Council website.
The School Transport phone lines will only be used for emergencies, such as accidents or immediate safeguarding concerns. For these, you can still call: 01962 846924.
Any calls or emails made to other Hampshire services about School Transport will also be redirected to the online form.
Why This Change?
This shift is designed to help the team:
- Collect the right information up front
- Prioritise enquiries more effectively
- Respond more quickly and consistently
Their website has also been updated to make it easier to find answers to frequently asked questions. In many cases, you may be able to resolve your query without needing to contact the team directly.
What You Need to Do:
If you have a transport-related question, visit the School Transport webpages first to check if the answer is already there.
If not, use the online enquiry form to contact the service.
Only use the emergency phone line for urgent issues, such as accidents or safeguarding concerns.
We recommend familiarising yourself with the updated webpages to ensure you know where to go if and when you need support.
Thank you for your attention to this update and for helping to ensure enquiries are handled as efficiently as possible.
