“Work experience helps students discover the application of their own skills, talents, interests and aspirations within the context of work. It’s a vital part of their development and a brilliant opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the working world.”

Work Experience

At Perins, we are proud to offer our students the opportunity to take part in our Work Experience Programme, a vital part of their personal and professional development. This initiative allows students to step outside the classroom and into the world of work, gaining first-hand experience in a real-life setting. Work experience is more than just a week in the workplace. It’s a chance for students to:

  • Explore potential career paths and industries they may wish to pursue in the future.
  • Develop key employability skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving.
  • Build confidence and independence by navigating new environments and responsibilities.
  • Make meaningful connections with professionals and organisations that can inspire and guide their next steps.

We believe that these experiences play a crucial role in helping students make informed decisions about their futures, while also reinforcing the importance of ambition, resilience, and adaptability.

To support students in securing a placement that suits their interests and goals, we’ve provided a range of resources and guidance below. We encourage students and families to explore these resources together and reach out to our Careers Team if they need any additional support.
