We’re pleased to share a fantastic opportunity for students in Years 9, 10 and 11 who have a passion for cooking and an interest in the world of hospitality and catering.

Eastleigh College is offering a Junior Chef Programme, a 6-week cookery course that runs from Tuesday 9th September to Tuesday 14th October 2025, designed to give students an exciting, hands-on introduction to professional cookery.

Over the 6 weeks, students will:

Develop cookery skills, confidence and creativity
Experience what it’s like to work in a professional kitchen
Build communication and teamwork skills
Earn a College Attendance Certificate
Prepare and serve a three-course meal at a graduation dinner for two guests

Sessions run weekly on Tuesdays from 4:30–6:30pm, and all ingredients are provided. Chef whites are loaned for the course, and students will need to wear black trousers and black leather shoes for safety.

The course ends with a special graduation dinner, where students will cook and serve their own three-course meal—guests welcome!

Limited spaces available – only 12 students per course, so early booking is essential.

Cost: £141 (includes all sessions, ingredients, uniform loan and graduation dinner)
