We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Perins alumni Abi Newman, who competed in the Women's Eights Head of the River Race (WEHORR) on 8th March—the largest all-women's distance rowing race in the world!

Racing along the iconic Thames in London, Abi and her Oxford Brookes University crew took on the 6.8km course against 324 crews from around the world, including Olympic medalists and world champions. In an incredible display of strength, skill, and teamwork, Abi’s crew secured 40th place overall and an impressive 17th place in their Open Category.

This is a fantastic achievement on an international stage, and we couldn’t be prouder of Abi’s dedication and success! Congratulations!
