Celebrating British Philosophy Fortnight at Perins!

In honour of British Philosophy Fortnight, an exciting new initiative celebrating and championing philosophy, our Religion, Philosophy, and Ethics (RPE) department was thrilled to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Mackintosh, a Philosopher and Philosophy lecturer from the University of Winchester.
Dr. Mackintosh joined our Year 7 and Year 8 RE lessons this week, sparking fascinating discussions about the importance of Philosophy and RE in society. Students took part in thought-provoking philosophical conundrums, exploring topics such as sport, medicine, and education.
One student shared their experience: "In yesterday's RPE lesson, I really enjoyed philosophy and sharing my views on things. I also enjoyed thinking about another way of viewing what I am thinking about."
A huge thank you to Miss Sargent, Head of RPE, for organising this brilliant opportunity and to Dr. Mackintosh for inspiring our students to think deeper and question the world around them!
