As we approach the end of an intense term and the beginning of a crucial holiday period for final GCSE exam preparations, we are thrilled to offer our Year 11 students an enriching experience. Chris Lubbe, a remarkable individual who has inspired many past generations of Perins’ students, will be visiting us.

Chris Lubbe grew up in a ghetto in South Africa and experienced the harsh realities of apartheid firsthand, a system of institutionalised racial segregation and discrimination that existed in South Africa from 1948 until the early 1990s. Despite numerous challenges, he rose to become a bodyguard to Nelson Mandela. His incredible journey and inspirational stories are sure to reignite our students' aspirations at this pivotal time, sending them into the holidays with renewed determination to become the best version of themselves.

Chris will be speaking to our Year 11 students on the afternoon of Thursday, 3rd April. We kindly request voluntary contributions of £3.58 per student, payable via SCOPAY (Trips and Events), to help make this visit an annual event. Your support in making this possible is greatly appreciated.

We encourage you to discuss this event with your children and help them make the most of this unique opportunity. Let's come together to inspire our students and support this wonderful initiative!
