A Fond Farewell to Year 11

On Friday, 23rd May, our Year 11 students gathered in the main hall for their final assembly – a moment filled with reflection, laughter, and a few happy tears. It was a chance to celebrate everything they’ve achieved over the past five years and to mark the end of an unforgettable chapter.
Following the assembly, the celebrations continued out on the school field, where students enjoyed a relaxed and fun-filled afternoon together. It was a perfect way to unwind, share memories, and say goodbye to daily school life, at least for now.
Miss Sweetman, Head of Year 11, shared a heartfelt message with the year group:
“I’m so proud of each and every one of you. Embrace challenges, never stop learning, and always be kind. Dream big!”
The students themselves were full of emotion and excitement. One Year 11 student said:
“It felt really special to be together one last time. We’ve all grown so much, and I’ll never forget the support we’ve had from our teachers and each other.”
While this was the last day in school uniform for many, the final goodbye will come at the end of June, when the year group reunites for their much-anticipated prom, a night we’re all looking forward to.
To our incredible Year 11s: thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the legacy you leave behind. We can’t wait to see what you do next.
