Please sign up to Arbor by clicking here and selecting ‘First time logging in?’ to set your password. Your username for Arbor is the email address we’ve been using in our correspondence with you.
Once set up, please visit the Student Profile page and complete as much of your child’s details as possible, including medical information. Arbor can also be used to update your own contact details and to add other parents and carers. There is a guide to Arbor for parents here should you require further information.
If you have any questions please contact school@perins.hants.sch.uk.
Payment for school lunches, trips, revision guides and much more is available through the Perins secure online payments system operated by SCOPay. Click here for more information.
At Perins School, we can offer your child a wide range of music tuition including string, woodwind, brass, keyboard/piano, voice, guitar and drums. We are very proud of the quality and diversity of lessons we can provide.
Lessons will last for a minimum of 20 minutes during the school day and will be shared with a maximum of three other students from any year group. Pupils will come out of subject lessons to attend their music tuition which will operate on a rotating timetable to minimise, where possible, students repeatedly missing the same lesson. Charges for music tuition are shown below, please below also for the full terms and conditions.
2023/24 Music Tuition fees: £290 per instrument per academic year payable in advance.
We appreciate that this is a large sum to request so far in advance of the new academic year, but Perins is contracted to pay the music tutors for the full year once they have been booked, and we are unable to obtain any refund from Hampshire Music Service. Unfortunately, this means that in turn we are unable to offer refunds if a student decides to give their lessons up during the year unless we are able to sell that slot to another student, although we will offer an alternative instrument (subject to the availability of suitable lesson slots) if a student decides they would prefer to try something different. In exceptional circumstances an alternative payment plan may be considered, but please note that you will still be committed to the full annual cost.
A limited number of places will be available but we will try our best to accommodate your child. If you have any queries, please email financeteam@perins.hants.sch.uk
Perins School is very proud of its pioneering laptop scheme which allows IT to be used across the curriculum both at school and at home.
For a monthly donation, students receive a school laptop/carry case/charger and all the software needed for school. All laptop queries and support of both hardware and software are carried out on-site by our friendly engineers. Further information about our laptop scheme can be found here.
We usually run 2 schemes – a 36-month scheme from Year 7 and a 21-month scheme (and new laptop) from Year 10 onwards. Students joining mid-scheme will be sent information specific to the year group they’re joining before they start at Perins, together with the links to forms to be completed.
Please note that the laptop scheme is optional, but we do not allow devices from home to be used at school.
At Perins, we are proud to offer a full, ever growing extra-curricular program.
Our aim is to provide something for everyone, and we encourage students to make the most of these opportunities. We believe that the extracurricular program promotes healthy living via access to sports and fitness activities, helps build skills, passions and interests that can last a lifetime, builds confidence and self-esteem through a variety of experiences and develops social opportunities and strong, meaningful friendships.
