Public Consultation on the Admissions Policy for Perins School
The Perins MAT is proposing to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) of Perins School to 215 from September 2026. The School Admissions Code 2021 requires us to consult on any changes to Admissions Policies.
We are consulting to reduce PAN to 215 as one of our key feeder schools has reduced its PAN to 45 as a result of demographic change in the local area. We have also added to criteria 4 and 6 referencing siblings in line with Hampshire Admissions policy.

Online Application
When your child is moving from primary to secondary school, you will be sent details on how to apply online (usually via your child’s primary school early in the autumn term of Year 6). Applications are dealt with centrally by the Hampshire County Council Admissions Team and applications should be made via the Hampshire County Council Portal.
If you require a paper application form please contact the school office.
If your child attends an independent school, a school outside Hampshire, or you move into the area after the Autumn term, you should apply directly to Hampshire Children’s Services for advice and an application form. Although Perins is an Academy school, there are no additional forms for you to complete.
Catchment
We take several students from out of catchment, details of our catchment area can be found on the Hampshire County Council website. Perins is part of the group of schools known as the 7AS (Seven Alresford Schools), the other six schools within the group are the feeder schools for Perins. Our feeder schools are Sun Hill Junior School, Sun Hill Infant School, Preston Candover CE Primary School, Ropley C of E Primary School, Four Marks CE Primary School, and Cheriton Primary School.
