Next week our Year 10 students will be on their work experience placements. Please find below some information on how the week will run for those on placement and for those who will be attending school instead.
Students on Placement
- Students should have already contacted their employers to introduce themselves – if this hasn’t happened yet, please can this be done as soon as possible.
- The timings for when each placements starts is between the student and the employer, and it is the student’s responsibility to make sure they are aware of where they are going and what time they need to be there.
- At some point during the week a member of Perins staff will visit each student’s placement or call to see how they are getting on.
- If the student cannot make it into placement during the week, due to illness, then they must inform the employer and the school.
Students in School
- Students who do not have a placement will be required to attend school as normal.
- There will be a bespoke careers curriculum in place, which will involve elements of virtual work experience and job readiness.
