We ask for your support in monitoring the correct wearing of Perins School uniform. We request that you please particularly assist us with the following:
- ensuring that excessive jewellery is not worn into school. The uniform policy states that the only jewellery that is allowed to be worn is a stud in each ear lobe and a watch. We have these requirements in place for several reasons, but the main, extremely important reason is the safety of the students. Additional jewellery, in particular jewellery that hangs from the body (e.g. hoop or dangly earrings) can lead to a serious safety issue as they can be caught and pulled during activities at school. We have unfortunately had incidents of this happening recently leaving the students having to endure considerable pain.
- There has also been a rise in students wearing white socks. Please would you remind your child/children that our uniform requires that only black socks or black/nude tights are worn to school.
