Alan O’Donohue from Eko visited the school on Tuesday 21st November delivering fantastic workshops to Year 7 students about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Students simulated cyber threats and prevention methods and also challenged their computational thinking skills by trying some problem-solving activities with micro:bits. Students also learned about different STEM organisations and the powerful work they do.
The whole of Year 7 then had an assembly where Alan discussed key influential people in STEM and possible career paths. Thank you to all students involved in the day and to Alan O’Donohue for attending.
