Year 7 students have been working hard to produce homework on a themed art map about the British Isles including famous landmarks, food, sports, birds etc.
The first unit that Year 7 study in Geography is called ‘Exploring Britain’. The students learn about the main human and physical features of our island home including population, cities, rivers, mountains and our bordering seas and oceans.
For homework, the students were asked to create an art map based on a theme of their choice to help them get to know more about the British Isles. The selection of art maps that you see include themes such as famous landmarks, castles, food or some students found out facts and figures about each country that makes up the British Isles. We have also had some interesting choices such as the location of different bird species that live here.
The department has been so pleased to see the time and effort that has been put into this piece of homework and we think you’ll agree they have done an amazing job. Well Done year 7!
