Year 11 students, and their parents, have been invited for a vocational ‘Showcase Insight’ evening at Alton College on 19th April – from 4 pm until 6 pm.
The invited students all have current online applications for one of the following courses:
- Engineering
- Health and Social Care
- Early Years / Child Care and Education
- Sport
- Public and Defence Services
- Outdoor Adventure
The structure of the evening:
4 pm – Head of Faculty presentation – discussing the course offerings, facilities, trips and visits, and progression routes for students at Alton College
4:20 – 5:20 pm – Year 11 applicants to take part in a workshop in each department area – an opportunity for the careers lead or teaching team to see the facilities, speak with lectures
5:20 – 6 pm – Fond farewells and individual-specific questions.
The ‘Showcase Insight’ evening is designed for your Year 11 students to confirm their course choices, ask any questions and find out a little more about the course, facilities and teachers.
