Wearing school uniform is fundamental at Perins, ensuring all students are recognisable and giving a strong sense of identity. A uniform also means students don’t have to worry about peer pressure when it comes to the latest trends. All parents are expected to provide school uniform and support their child in complying with the uniform regulations.
We are seeing an increase in students struggling to meet the school’s expectations on uniform. This includes the wearing of hoodies, rolled skirts, excessive jewellery, and no blazers. We ask that you check with your child before they leave for school to make sure they have their correct uniform. Our policy and guidelines on what is expected is available here. Students who persist in wearing incorrect uniform will be challenged and if they do not have a suitable note explaining why they are not in the correct uniform, this will result in further sanctions.
School uniform, including ties and blazer badges, may be ordered online from The Direct Clothing Company. Please note that all items of required uniform may be purchased from any retailer, with the exception of the Perins skirt, tie, and badge. You may wish to look at the Friends of Perins online shop, which stocks a wide range of second-hand uniform for sale. The profits go to Friends of Perins and help support the school.
The Friends of Perins would also be very grateful for any donations of current Perins uniform that you no longer need. These may be dropped off at Reception.
If you are struggling with any part of getting your child into school uniform, please email their tutor in the first instance who will always be willing to assist.
Many thanks for your support with this matter.
