At Perins we work hard to protect our students online as well as helping them to understand risks and how to avoid them. For parents, online safety, digital hygiene and cyber crime are all issues that can be tricky to understand and hard keep up with the latest developments. To help with this we have asked members of the Hampshire Police Cyber Crime unit to visit the school and run events for students, parents and staff.
On Monday 5th Feb, we invite parents and carers to a meeting where a police expert from the Education Engagement Team will provide information and advice for families around online safety and the wider safeguarding risks for young people and parents. This event is for parents and unsuitable for young people, who will have their own event during the week.
We encourage you to join us for what promises to be an ‘eye-opening’ hour.
