Last month, Evie P (Y7) performed at the Royal Albert Hall, with her Basingstoke Theatre Train group, who were selected to perform with other groups from across the country to take part in a show called “We’re Gonna Change the World”.
This was all about the environment and particularly human impact on it, expressed through acting, dancing and singing.
During the Basingstoke group performance (in the arena), Evie delivered a solo speech originally given by Greta Thunberg, from the main stage under a spotlight.
She had rehearsed over a number of months and executed the delivery of the speech, about climate change and the need to act immediately, with both precision and passion.
