Jody C in Year 8 is a member of Winchester Sea Cadets and over the past year has worked very hard and with such determination to achieve his sea qualifications. Jody’s goal is to join the Royal Navy Engineering branch.
Recently, Jody achieved his very challenging ‘Explore Award’ certificate in a sea kayak. He was the youngest cadet on the course. This award is the middle of three staged qualifications that must be completed to qualify as an instructor, which is Jody’s next aim.
The instructor praised Jody for his achievement and said he was “one of the best in the group especially as he had a kayak which was for an adult.”
