(behaviour, health and wellbeing, SEND)
Thanks to those parents that completed our survey ‘Parent/Carer View of Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Support’.
The conclusions from the survey include:
- Nearly all parents believe that emotional health and wellbeing are important areas for school to address
- Most but not all parents were aware that Perins’ curriculum incorporates lessons/activities/discussions regarding emotional wellbeing and mental health, however a large majority of children do not come home and talk about mental health topics that they have learnt from their lessons in school (for example, recognising anxiety and preventing depression).
- There were generally mixed feelings about how well the school offers information that helps parents/carers to support your child.
