One of Perins’ former students, Ashely Campbell, has recently been accepted to do a PHD at Bart’s Cancer Institute in London starting in September 2022.
We recently received this wonderful news and the kind message below from Ashley’s family:
“Her love of science was instilled and fostered in her at Perins School and this passion has carried on after attending Peter Symonds, UWE BSc Biology and UCL MSc Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine (distinction).
Since graduating, she has been involved in Dementia research at the Gurdon Institute at Cambridge for 4 years (this lab then moved to UCL in London) and is now at the Tate lab at UCL involved in Cancer Organoid research.
We are very excited for her and want to thank Perins so much for supporting her. If you could let Mrs Davies know that would be amazing as she was a rock for Ashley and heavily promoted STEM to girls.”
