Working in partnership with Peter Symonds College, we are delighted to offer thirty of our Year 10 students the opportunity to visit the college, on Monday 27th June 2022, and experience ‘a day in the life of a Peter Symonds student’.
The day at Peter Symonds will start at 8.45am and finish at 1.50pm. Students will have the opportunity to experience four subject tasters of their choice; they will pick these from a menu once they are signed up for the day. Students will have the full choice of Level 3 subjects that would be available to them if they were to attend the College for their sixth form studies.
Students will need to make their own way to and from the college on the 27th June, so if your child wishes to attend you will need to organise their travel on that day. Once at the college, they will be met by a member of Perins staff, register and the college staff will then guide them through their day. The day will look like this (tbc):
9.00am – 9.25am – Welcome and College Introduction
9.30am – 10.20am – Subject 1
10.20am – 10.40am – Break
10.40am – 11.30am – Subject 2
11.35am – 12.25pm – Subject 3
12.30pm – 1.00pm – Lunch
1.00pm – 1.50pm – Subject 4
Please be advised that Monday 27th June falls within the Year 10 trial exams at Perins. For those students who wish to attend the Peter Symonds taster day, we will organise a trial exam catch up day to sit any of the exams that they did not take.
