We would like to thank students who were able to take part in the lateral flow testing in school at the beginning of term, which after a period of social mixing during the holidays helped us identify a number of cases and therefore reduce transmission in school. Please see this message here from the NHS encouraging students to continue with regular covid testing. We are very fortunate at Perins to have access to saliva testing as well as lateral flow testing. Students have recently been given a fresh supply of both types of tests, but please ask your child to speak to their tutor if they need more test kits.
Students are strongly encouraged to continue testing at home twice a week, including students who have recently been infected with covid – lateral flow testing and saliva testing can start after they have completed their isolation period.
