As in previous years, following the Christmas break our Year 7 PE classes will be re-grouped into a top group and two parallel mixed ability groups for each band. This is based on student’s effort and consistency of performance in PE since the start of the school year, but groupings are fluid throughout their time at Perins; students can move up and down based on assessment and the PE staff’s professional judgment.
At Perins we aim to provide the students with a broad and balanced curriculum, and all Year 7 students will access the same activity programme for the remainder of this academic year.
The new groups will be communicated to students in their lessons during the second week following the Christmas break.
